What can be better than working in the videogame industry? Working in the videogame industry in a museum city!
Imagine taking your eyes off the task at hand and looking at 19th century buildings across the street, or sacrificing your lunch for a fifteen minute stroll from the office towards an 18th century wooden lodge where Peter the Great lived when the town's construction started.
Then imagine wandering through a park to a bridge with a panoramic view found in every city guide. In five more minutes you could be at the former Royal park with marble statues lining the alleys, swans at a pool, ducks in canals and street performers all around.
One lunch per week is well worth the comfort, reflection and inspiration.
Over the summer, white nights make you wish to sacrifice a drive home for an hour long walk past the centuries and decades of what looks like a break of dawn. 19th-early 20th centuries buildings line the streets as you stride towards the river and its bridges. Then walk by living monuments of industrialization from the 20th century that are slowly replaced by post WWII, so-called "Stalin's" architecture, and eventually transform into a 60s styled district where trees still remember the touch of descendants who planted them half a century ago.
